The Cotillion has landed. After an 8 hour day of travel (every ten minutes someone asked me if I was getting married. the downside of wearing a tiara all day), I arrived in sunny, hot Tampa at 8 this evening. First order of business: finding the hotel. The lovely Tammy & Jody picked me up at the airport, holding signs with a printout of Girl on the Right. Not that they had any trouble spotting me - I was the one with the hot pink luggage and tiara! We checked into the Sailport, met Beth, and debated dinner and supplies. We would need to hit a liquor store soon.

The hotel is awesome, with a great view, but it took a good deal of effort to convince the security guard not to strip for us. Dinner at Crabby Bill's was excellent, thanks to the attention of our waiter Vic, who looked up local liquor stores on the internet while we were sucking back margaritas at the table. What a doll. We should have dragged him back with us, but I think we made him nervous. We have that effect. I think it's the sheer regal presence of the Cotillion girls. As you know, we can be extrememly intimidating. Jody is one of those hot women who can drive stick. It gets me jealous and squelchy all at the same time.
Vic gave us all crabs, except for Tammy, who doesn't do fish (yet she's here on a girl's weekend!).
Sweet Vic gave us those directions to the liquor store, where we did some serious stocking up. Beth was unwilling to part with a bottle of JD, and we had to pry it out of her hands. Thankfully we have Jody as the designated this weekend! She can drop us all off at the Betty on her way home.

Back home at the ranch, I whipped us up a pitcher of margaritas, on tequila way cheaper than we can buy it in Cannuckistan. Even my much beloved Milagro is dirt cheap. My suitcase will be clinking on the way home, I assure you. And since then we've been geeking out, listening to the tunes, watching the very gay Anderson Cooper, and talking trash about boys.
So, nothing out of the ordinary.

Instead of being down there with you and getting into all SORTS of trouble, I'm up here in VA procrastinating about doing housework and writing my next WARcast.
I hate you.
In a totally healthy Ladies-of-the-Cotillion sort of way, of course...
